It Takes a Community to Raise a Child- An educational evening for pregnant women and new parents. With Laurel Garner, Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Elaine Sauve- Osteopathic Practitioner

Trust Your Gut- Laurel Garner, Registered Holistic Nutritionist will speak about emotional health for pregnant woman, and new moms and how this relates to our gut health. 

The Best for Your Bodies- Elaine Sauve, Osteopathic Practitioner, will speak about Osteopathic services for families. During pregnancy, your body undergoes many dramatic changes, many of i can put extra stress on your body. Osteopathy provides a safe, effective and gentle approach to pre- and post-natal care for both mom and baby. Elaine will discuss how osteopathic treatment can help prevent or manage a wide range of pregnancy related conditions including back and pelvic pain.
During birth, babies are exposed to stresses and strains that can lead to imbalance and a wide variety of symptoms. Elaine will touch on some of the most common issues that babies present with such as reflux and constipation."

About Laurel:
“I would like to say that I knew all along that this is where I would end up but I didn’t. But now that I am here, I have to say that I am not surprised.”  
Laurel completed the Registered Holistic Nutritionist program in 2015 at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Kelowna while pregnant with her first child. She offers her clients the opportunity to find “Internal Balance.” Individuals that will benefit are those who have a desire to be more full of life, energy, vitality and balance. Laurel specializes in nutritional support for women pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy and for families. She also specializes in nutritional support for supporting mental health and anxiety.

About Elaine:
Elaine Sauvé is a New Zealand trained Osteopathic Practitioner with a Masters of Osteopathy. A Kelowna local, Elaine has recently returned to practice osteopathy, a manual therapy which facilitates healing by focusing on how the whole body works together. She enjoys working with a wide array of clients, and provides personalized treatments and advice for each client. Elaine passionately believes that osteopathy provides a unique way of looking at chronic issues by treating the root of the problem, not simply the symptoms. Elaine has a special interest in women’s health, including pre and postnatal care, as well as babies and children
